On holiday, try to capture details as well as the wider scene. If your usual batch of holiday snaps comprises beach scenes
and pictures of friends and family in their swimsuits, next time you take your camera on holiday, try to capture something different: a pile of colorful peppers on a market stall, a menu board, an interesting doorway or piece of architecture, or even washing hanging out to dry.
Once again, don't rely on the sun. If you take your camera with you on a walk at dusk you may be able to capture a dramatic sunset or cloud formation.
To create an interesting skyline, keep the horizon low in the frame, to eliminate distracting details.
